KTM India is planning to introduce the 390 Adventure motorcycle in India by the end of this year. This is a good move from the Austrian manufacturer as middle-weight performance motorcycles are finding a good demand in our country.
The KTM 390 Adventure will be based on the naked sibling- the Duke 390. Though based on the street-fighter version, it will borrow traits from the 1190 Adventure model in terms of design. This new motorcycle will sport a stronger and longer suspension, dual-purpose tyres and a larger fuel tank. The motorcycle should also sport an upright seating position making it more comfortable for longer distances.
The 390 Adventure will be powered by the same 373.2cc single-cylinder motor, the Duke 390 is powered with. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. ABS will be offered as standard.
With KTM's plans of locally producing the 390 Adventure, we expect the motorcycle to be priced very aggressively and create a segment of its own when launched. KTM might price it at Rs 2.5 lakh, slightly more than the Duke 390.
